A new video from Dubai Police and the city’s local government aims to increase driver awareness of traffic violations and related penalties.
The video refers to some of the new traffic laws introduced in Dubai on July 1.
Entitled ‘Is it worth it?’, the video demonstrates a family flouting the laws and displays the appropriate penalty. Violations include failure to seat a child in a children’s seat, seating a child under 10 years in a front seat, being distracted while driving, failure to fasten seat belt, a sudden swerve and using a hand-held mobile phone.
