The State Government of Western Australia (WA) has launched a series of multilingual road safety booklets for international drivers visiting the area.

Acting Road Safety Commissioner Teresa Williams said the booklets, which are available in seven languages, aim to educate visitors on WA road rules, helping to improve safety for all road users.

“Many overseas visitors to our State don’t ordinarily drive on the same side of the road as we do, so it’s vital we provide easy access to WA’s road rules and road safety information in their own language,” said Williams.

“Our vast State presents contrasting road conditions from the south to the north, with gravel roads, the danger posed by stray cattle and kangaroos and of course the long distances between stops. The ‘On the Road’ booklets provide advice on how to drive safely in Western Australia and ensure an enjoyable road trip around the State.”

The booklets are available in seven different languages:
Italian
German
Mandarin
Malay
Korean
