National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW) is an annual spring campaign which takes place at the beginning of construction season to raise awareness of safe driving through highway work zones.

Taking place this year April 3 – 7, NWZAW encourages drivers across the United States to use caution and drive carefully in construction zones.

NWZAW is organized by the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA), which also runs Go Orange Day. Taking place on April 5 2017, Go Orange Day encourages roadway safety professionals across the country to wear orange to show their support of work zone safety.

ATSSA is encouraging workers to share their videos and photos of themselves and colleagues wearing orange and to state why they support Go Orange Day and NWZAW.
