Anne Arundel Council has experienced an increase in distracted and aggressive driving related crashes, according to police.

Now, the police department is asking drivers to: ‘get your head out of your apps’ and concentrate on the road.

The Traffic Safety Section, with the assistance of the Maryland Transportation Authority Police motor unit, recently conducted a high intensity patrol to help reduce roadway crashes in Anne Arundel County.

There will be additional coordinated enforcement waves throughout the county during 2017 focused on aggressive/distracted driving and commercial vehicle enforcement utilizing allied agencies, covert vehicles and police motorcycles.
